Well, here's that MP3 I forgot to upload. This is a song from the second half of Once More With Feeling. It features the pretty much the entire cast of the episode, and it's probably the only song where Sarah Michelle Gellar's voice doesn't sound too flimsy. Enjoy.

This week marks the return of Angel after its six week hiatus. It also marks the last week of shooting for the series. In honor/memoriam of this series, today's LQMP3 is the show's theme. Music by Darling Violetta. Enjoy.

Black Mages is an album produced by Nobuo Uematsu consisting of heavy metal versions of various Final Fantasy battle themes. I recently picked it up, and it is quite sweet.

"Those Who Fight Further", the boss battle theme from Final Fantasy VII, was a natural choice for a song to put onto this album since it was already so close to the desired style. People who know me know that I like to rib on Final Fantasy VII for its shoddy sound quality. With this album, this song has a chance to show its full potential. Granted, I'm giving you a Low-Qual version, so the encoding quality isn't great, but the instrumentation and such are vastly improved from the original song.

Composed and arranged by Nobuo Uematsu. Enjoy.

In light of the excessive commercial success of Gibson's The Passion of the Christ, I give you "Damned For All Time / Blood Money". Emphasis on "Blood Money".

From Jesus Christ Superstar. Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. Lyrics by Tim Rice. Features Jerome Pradon as Judas. Enjoy.

In honor of the recent news about Serenity, and because the piece is small enough to begin with, today's LQMP3 is actually normal-ish quality.

Today's LQMP3 is "Ballad of Serenity", the opening theme to Joss Whedon's Firefly. This song is somewhat more notable among TV themes for various reasons. In particular, Joss Whedon wrote the music and lyrics for the song, specifically designed for the show, and it shows. The style of the song and the writing are very in line with the show on so many levels; the writing, the character mentality, the subtle Chinese influence, etc. It's kind of hard to describe in words, but it's pretty clear when watching the show. The song is performed by Sonny Rhodes. Enjoy.

I'm going to make this quick, because I'm sick of wrestling with browsers and I want to be done with it.

Today's LQMP3 comes from another French musical, Notre Dame de Paris. I believe this song, "Le Temps des Cathedrales", is from the beginning, or at least close to it. Music by Richard Cocciante, lyrics by Luc Plamondon. It might get a little amplifiedy at the end. Whatever. Enjoy.
